Your money never passes through us.
Turtle Terminal places the orders you make and reads your balances. Everything else stays at your exchange.
- Custody
- Your crypto stays in your exchange account. Turtle Terminal never holds funds, and your subscription is paid to us through Stripe, separately from your trading.
- Your exchange connection
- You connect through SnapTrade's page, where you log in to your exchange. We never see your exchange password. Connection details are stored encrypted and read only by our servers.
- What the connection allows
- Placing and cancelling the orders you make, and reading balances, positions and fills. Not withdrawals.
- If data is late or an exchange is down
- Opening new positions pauses and closing still works. Your exchange is one click away on every screen, so you are never locked out of your own account.
- Records that can't be edited
- Fills, blocks, account snapshots and the audit log can't be changed or deleted, even by us. A correction is a new row.
- Your data
- Each trader's rows are isolated in the database itself. Staff access is limited, and every change of role is logged.
- Logging in
- Email and password, or Google. Sessions are checked on every request.
- Honest limits
- Orders are checked before they're sent. Your account is re-checked within 60 seconds, not instantly. Orders placed at your exchange directly aren't checked.
