Your practice account

You will know what the practice account holds, what it can do and how to remove or restore it.

Every new account comes with a practice account: a month of generated trading history, ending on the day you joined. It lets you see how Turtle Terminal works before you connect an exchange.

What is in it

  • About a month of trades, with wins and losses close to half and half.
  • Two positions still open, priced against today's quotes.
  • One bad day that trips the daily loss limit, one order blocked for size and one warned for price drift, so the Blocks tab has real examples.
  • Two trades marked Placed outside, to show how the journal records orders that didn't go through Turtle Terminal.

What it can and can't do

The practice account is read-only. Open the ticket, choose a pair and enter an amount: the room check runs your rules against the order, exactly as it would on a connected account. The button stays disabled and the ticket says Practice account: rules are checked, nothing is sent.

Nothing in it is real money, and nothing reaches an exchange.

Remove it or bring it back

  1. Open the account menu and choose Settings.
  2. Go to Practice.
  3. Choose Remove to delete the practice account and its history, or Restore to generate it again.

You can also remove it from the Connect screen, where it shows as its own card. Settings → Practice is also where you replay the welcome tour.
