A tour of the terminal
You will know where everything is in the terminal and which part tells you whether you can trade.
The terminal has three sections, one status line and one account menu. The welcome tour walks you through them the first time; you can replay it from Settings → Practice.
The navbar
- Terminal, Rules and Journal are the three sections.
- The Guard pill, in the middle, says whether you can trade right now: Clear to trade, a warning, Blocked, New positions paused, Kill switch on, Data out of date or Exchange unreachable. Click it for the details, the tightest room left, the kill switch and Sync now.
- The account switcher picks which exchange account the terminal shows.
- The account menu holds Connect, Settings and Log out.
Terminal
- Account: account value, cash, what's available to spend, and today's change.
- Markets: your positions and your watchlist. Click a row to load the pair into the ticket.
- Chart for the pair you are looking at.
- The ticket: Buy or Sell, the amount, the order type, and the room check, which shows what the order would do to your rules before you press anything.
- Activity: Orders, Blocks and Journal tabs.
Rules
Your rules, grouped as Losses, Size, Habits and Order checks, with the kill switch card at the top and the change delay card at the bottom. Presets adds a full set in one step.
Journal
Every fill your exchange reports, whether it came through Turtle Terminal or not, with realised P&L and a calendar of your days.
