Connect Coinbase

Your Coinbase account will be connected to the terminal, for spot trading.

Coinbase connects through SnapTrade, like every exchange. You need a Coinbase account you can log in to.

Steps

  1. In the terminal, open the account menu and choose Connect.
  2. Choose Coinbase. SnapTrade's window opens on Coinbase.
  3. Log in to Coinbase and approve the connection.
  4. If you are asked for an API key instead, follow the steps below, then paste the key in SnapTrade's window.
  5. Back in Turtle Terminal, your Coinbase account imports on its own.

If Coinbase asks for an API key

  1. At Coinbase, open the developer settings where API keys are created.
  2. Create a new key for the portfolio you trade from.
  3. Allow viewing and trading.
  4. Leave transfer and withdrawal permissions off. Turtle Terminal never needs them.
  5. Copy the key name and private key into SnapTrade's window. Coinbase shows the private key only once.

You can delete the key at Coinbase at any time; that disconnects the account.

What you can trade

Spot pairs. Margin, futures and perpetuals aren't supported on Coinbase in Turtle Terminal. Availability depends on where you live and what Coinbase offers your account.
