Disconnect an exchange

You'll have stopped Turtle Terminal reading and trading an exchange account, with your history kept.

Disconnecting stops Turtle Terminal syncing the account and placing orders on it. Nothing changes at your exchange.

Steps

  1. In the terminal, open the account menu and choose Connect.
  2. Find the account under Your accounts.
  3. Choose Disconnect.
  4. Confirm. The account shows as Disconnected.

What happens

  • Turtle Terminal stops syncing the account and can no longer place orders on it.
  • Your positions, open orders and funds stay at your exchange, exactly as they were. Resting orders are not cancelled.
  • Your journal, blocks and rules in Turtle Terminal stay. Rules that applied to all accounts keep applying to the others.

Remove access at the exchange too

If you want the exchange side closed as well, do it at your exchange: remove the SnapTrade connection from the exchange's list of connected apps, or delete the API key if you created one. After that, Turtle Terminal can't reconnect without you.

Connect again

Choose Connect and pick the exchange. The steps are the same as the first time. See Connect an exchange.
