Connect Kraken
Your Kraken account will be connected to the terminal, for spot and margin trading.
Kraken connects through SnapTrade, like every exchange. You need a Kraken account you can log in to.
Steps
- In the terminal, open the account menu and choose Connect.
- Choose Kraken. SnapTrade's window opens on Kraken.
- Log in to Kraken and approve the connection.
- If you are asked for an API key instead, follow the steps below, then paste the key in SnapTrade's window.
- Back in Turtle Terminal, your Kraken account imports on its own.
If Kraken asks for an API key
- At Kraken, open your account settings and find the API section.
- Create a new key.
- Allow querying funds, orders and trades, and allow creating and cancelling orders.
- Leave withdrawal permissions off. Turtle Terminal never needs them.
- Copy the key and its secret into SnapTrade's window. Kraken shows the secret only once.
You can delete the key at Kraken at any time; that disconnects the account.
What you can trade
Spot and margin pairs. Futures aren't supported. Availability depends on where you live and what Kraken offers your account.
