Start from a preset
You will have a full set of rules for your style of trading, added in one step.
A preset is a named set of rules for a style of trading. Applying one adds the rules you don't have yet. Rules you already have stay exactly as they are, so a preset never loosens anything and never waits the change delay.
The four presets
| Preset | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Cautious | Small positions, hard daily stop, slow re-entry. |
| Day trader | Many small trades, a daily stop and a streak brake. |
| Swing trader | Concentration and correlation caps, a weekly stop. |
| Prop-firm style | Hard daily and weekly drawdown limits, leverage capped. |
Cautious is for a first account or a fresh start: most of its rules block. Day trader leans on habit rules, such as a pause after a losing streak. Swing trader watches how concentrated your holdings are. Prop-firm style mirrors the loss limits evaluation firms set.
Steps
- Go to Rules and choose Presets.
- Each preset shows what it would do for you: Adds 7 · you already have 2.
- Open What it adds to read each rule as a sentence, with its limit and mode.
- Choose the button on the preset, for example Add 7 rules. The toast says how many were added.
Where it applies
The preset adds rules to the scope the Rules screen is showing: All accounts, or one account.
After applying
Every added rule can be changed like any other. Tightening applies at once; loosening waits your change delay.
