Warn and Block

You will know the difference between the two modes and what happens to an order in each.

Every rule has a mode. Warn lets the order through and tells you. Block stops the order.

Warn

The ticket shows the warning above the button, and the button reads Review.

  1. Press Review. The ticket lists each warning as a sentence with the numbers.
  2. Press Place anyway to send the order, or Back to change it.

The warning is recorded on the order and in Blocks, so you can look back at what you did.

Block

The button becomes an amber slot that names the rule: Blocked by Daily loss limit. The order isn't sent. The line above says why and, when there is one, when it clears.

Place with a note

A rule in Block mode can allow you to place anyway, with a note. It's off by default; you turn it on per rule.

  1. When every rule blocking the order allows it, the button reads Place with a note.
  2. Write why this order should go through.
  3. Press Place anyway.

The note is kept with the order, in the journal and on the block. If even one blocking rule doesn't allow it, the order stays blocked.

Which to choose

New rules start in Warn. Watch what they catch for a while, then switch the ones you trust to Block. Warn to Block applies at once. Block to Warn loosens the rule, so it waits your change delay.

Any edit to the order withdraws the Review or note step, because the order it was for has changed.
