Why was my order blocked?
You will know which rule stopped your order, why, and what you can still do.
An order is blocked when it would break a rule in Block mode. It isn't sent to your exchange.
Find the reason
- Look at the ticket. The button names the rule: Blocked by Daily loss limit.
- Read the line above the button. It says what the order would do, your limit and when it clears: Paused after today's 2.1% loss · resumes 13:05.
- For the full history, open Activity → Blocks. Each block shows the rule, its limit and the numbers Turtle Terminal saw at that moment.
Common reasons
| The ticket says | What it means |
|---|---|
| BTC would be 14.2% of equity; your cap is 10% | The order would take one pair above your position size limit. A smaller amount may pass. |
| Paused after today's loss · resumes 13:05 | A loss limit or losing streak started a pause. New positions resume at that time. |
| SOL-USD is locked until 14:40 | You closed this pair at a loss recently. Other pairs are open. |
| $31,200 is over your $25,000 limit | Order sanity: the order is larger than you allow in one go. |
| Kill switch is on | Every order is blocked until you disarm. |
| Opening is paused | Your account data is out of date. See When data is out of date. |
What you can still do
- Close. Selling to reduce a position is always allowed, except under the kill switch.
- Change the order. A smaller amount or another pair may pass. The room check updates as you type.
- Wait. Pauses and locks end at the time shown.
- Place with a note, if every blocking rule allows it.
- Change the rule. Loosening waits your change delay.
Turtle Terminal doesn't shorten a pause once it has started.
